Hi, I’m b.

I’m a writer, life and recovery coach, student of therapeutic horticulture, and the slightly feral gardener behind b — the wiccan next door.

I didn’t set out to create a recovery philosophy. I was trying to figure out how to live.

Recovery brought me back to the earth. Somewhere between planting things, getting my hands dirty, studying soil, watching things die back and return, and learning that growth is almost never linear, I started recognizing myself in the garden.

Plants taught me something I desperately needed to understand: survival and healing aren't the same thing.

A plant can survive in depleted soil. It can stay alive without thriving. You can prune away what's hurting it, but if you never restore the conditions around its roots, it will continue to struggle.

People aren’t so different.

That realization became the foundation of what I call Regenerative Recovery — an approach to healing inspired by the same principles that restore living ecosystems. Instead of asking only, “How do I stop doing the thing that is hurting me?” I became interested in a different question:

What conditions do I need to actually grow?

Today, my work lives at the intersection of recovery, therapeutic horticulture, nature, spirituality, writing, and a healthy amount of weird shit I found outside.

This little corner of the internet is where all of those roots meet.

Some people count days. I planted mine.

Welcome to the garden. 🌿
